1. General Shipping Information

This Shipping Policy outlines the terms and conditions for the delivery of physical products purchased from My Tech Tap. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms of this Shipping Policy. We strive to provide accurate delivery estimates, but delivery times may vary based on your location, shipping method selected, product availability, and other factors beyond our control.

2. Order Processing

Order processing refers to the time between when you place your order and when it is shipped from our facility.

2.1 Processing Timeframes

Standard orders are typically processed within 1-3 business days after payment confirmation. Custom or personalized products may require additional processing time of 3-5 business days. Bulk orders (10+ items) may require 5-7 business days for processing. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays in Nigeria.

2.2 Order Confirmation

You will receive an order confirmation email shortly after placing your order. This email confirms that we have received your order but does not guarantee product availability or shipping timeframes. Once your order has been processed and shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information where applicable.

2.3 Order Modifications

If you need to modify your order, please contact us as soon as possible at orders@mytechtap.com. We will try to accommodate your request, but once an order has entered the processing stage, modifications may not be possible.

3. Shipping Methods and Timeframes

We offer several shipping methods to meet your delivery needs. Delivery timeframes are estimates and begin after the order processing period.

3.1 Domestic Shipping (Within Nigeria)

Standard Shipping: 2-5 business days (₦1,500 - ₦3,000) Express Shipping: 1-2 business days (₦4,000 - ₦6,000) Same-Day Delivery: Available in Lagos only for orders placed before 10:00 AM (₦8,000) Free standard shipping is available for orders over ₦20,000.

3.2 International Shipping

West Africa: 5-10 business days (₦8,000 - ₦15,000) Rest of Africa: 7-14 business days (₦12,000 - ₦20,000) Europe & North America: 10-15 business days (₦15,000 - ₦25,000) Rest of World: 14-21 business days (₦20,000 - ₦30,000) International shipping rates are calculated based on destination, weight, and dimensions. Exact shipping costs will be calculated at checkout.

3.3 Shipping Carriers

We partner with reputable shipping carriers including DHL, FedEx, UPS, and local Nigerian courier services. The specific carrier used for your order will depend on your location, selected shipping method, and product type. We reserve the right to change carriers without notice to ensure the most efficient delivery of your order.

4. Tracking Information

For most shipping methods, we provide tracking information that allows you to monitor the status and location of your shipment.

4.1 Tracking Availability

Tracking information is provided for all Express and International shipments. Standard shipping within Nigeria may have limited tracking capabilities depending on the carrier and delivery location. Tracking information will be sent to the email address provided during checkout once your order has been shipped.

4.2 Tracking Issues

If you experience issues with tracking your order or if the tracking information appears incorrect, please contact our customer support team at shipping@mytechtap.com with your order number and shipping details.

5. Shipping Restrictions

Certain shipping restrictions may apply based on your location, the products ordered, or other factors.

5.1 Address Restrictions

We may not be able to ship to certain locations due to carrier limitations, customs restrictions, or other factors. If we are unable to ship to your address, we will notify you and provide options for alternative delivery or cancellation with a full refund.

5.2 P.O. Boxes

We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes for international orders or express shipping methods. For standard domestic shipping, P.O. Boxes may be acceptable in certain locations.

5.3 Undeliverable Packages

If a package is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect address, refused delivery, or failure to collect from a carrier's pickup location, you will be responsible for any return shipping costs. We will contact you to arrange reshipment, which may incur additional shipping fees.

6. International Orders and Customs

For international orders, please be aware of the following important information:

6.1 Customs Duties and Taxes

International orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, and fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in our shipping fees. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Please contact your local customs office for more information before placing your order.

6.2 Customs Delays

International shipments may experience delays due to customs processing. These delays are beyond our control, and we cannot guarantee delivery timeframes for international orders. By placing an international order, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of customs-related delays.

6.3 Import Restrictions

Some countries have restrictions on importing certain types of products. It is your responsibility to ensure that the items you order can be lawfully imported to your country. We are not responsible for any items seized or held by customs.

7. Delivery and Receipt

Please review the following information regarding the delivery and receipt of your order:

7.1 Delivery Confirmation

Most shipments require a signature upon delivery. If no one is available to sign for the package, the carrier may leave a notice with instructions for rescheduling delivery or picking up the package from a local facility.

7.2 Inspection Upon Receipt

We recommend inspecting your package upon delivery for any visible damage. If the package appears damaged, please note this when signing for delivery and contact us immediately at shipping@mytechtap.com with photos of the damaged packaging.

7.3 Missing or Damaged Items

If you discover missing or damaged items after opening your package, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos if applicable.

8. Shipping Insurance

All Express and International shipments include basic shipping insurance that covers loss or damage during transit up to a certain value. Additional insurance may be available for purchase during checkout for high-value orders. Claims for lost or damaged packages must be filed within 14 days of the estimated delivery date. To file a claim, please contact our customer support team with your order number and relevant details.
